3D Printer Creates Multi-Material Respirator | Design Reality

Design Reality, a UK based design consultancy, uses the Objet260 Connex multi-material 3D printer to prototype gas mask respirators for the UK Ministry of Defence and US Fire Services. The Connex system, taking up only a tiny space within the office, replaces the much larger and messy CNC milling process and is also used to create patterns for silicone molding - reducing a 5-6 day prototyping process to just hours.
